A very special performance and heading to B.C.

The band was called in to do a last minute performance for a very special wedding at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre of the Foothills Hospital last Sunday.  Without going in to too many details we would just like to pass along a huge congratulations to the happy couple and a big thank you to the doctor’s, nurses and other staff at the hospital who were incredibly accommodating to us.  Everyone in attendance were very gracious and appreciative despite the unique circumstances of this show and we’d like to extend our best wishes and thanks to all involved.

The band will head out tomorrow bright and early for the long journey to Radium, British Columbia for the 2nd Annual Kootenay Beer Festival.  Radium is an incredibly gorgeous spot and last years crowd were not even fazed by the rain that attempted to spoil the event.  Needless to say, a little weather wasn’t going to damper the spirits of the several hundred beer and Celtic music fans in attendance and with a half hour delay, we quickly moved the show indoors and partied into the wee hours.  This was a great event even in it’s inaugural year and tomorrow’s festivities will be even better!  Come on down if you’re in the neighbourhood and if you’re not – you’d better start driving.  Sociable!!!!
